eight pieces brocade teaching clips
Finding teaching clips for the eight pieces brocades was tricky - some clips just did a single move but we managed to find a complete set - in Chinese!. They are clear enough to be a help..
Eight Piece Brocades Chi Kung
A clip from Master Jesse Tsao with a complete demonstration of the eight silken movements followed by an example lesson. The lesson is for the third exercise - separate heaven and earth and contains information oon the stomach and spleen meridians activated by the moves. This is followed by a small demo of just this move - for more practice
quick run through
Not a professional video so the lighting is difficult. The sequence of the moves is different (archer not second) but the man gives a run through on the breathing. Interesting to see and compare with the Jesse Tsao video clip.Chinese version - each brocade exercise is a separate video
This is a set of eight teaching clips in Chinese. Each exercise is on a separate video and they all start with one the the original images of ba duan jin from the ancient tomb scrolls. The action is slow, clear and repeated several times. Nice points are the use of ticks and crosses to show you the difference between bad and good execution of the move - you may need to watch several times to work out what the difference is. There is also a skeleton at the end showing either meridian or enegry activation paths.form 1
